Mares at Aberaeron Stud

Our mares have been bred for temperament & performance. Length of rein, flat bone, action, hardyness & trainability make them ideal riding horses.

Most of our mares come from our foundation mare, Dyscu, a little grey section B who was covered by Brenin Dafydd to produce Aberaeron Coes-Wen Ddu, a tenacious black section C mare with four white socks and blaze who became a legendary show winner, and prolific brood mare. She's still going strong & at 34 still knows she's a superstar!
